Karen Hauer breaks down in tears as training takes toll before Strictly final with Jamie

Karen Hauer, 38, sat alongside Made in Chelsea star Jamie, 32, to discuss their journey on Strictly Come Dancing as the competition comes to an end on Saturday night. Before they spoke with host Rylan Clark-Neal, 31, the pair took a trip down memory lane as they watched their highlights from the past eight weeks on the BBC dance show. As the cameras returned to the studio, the professional dancer was seen trying to hide her face as she broke down in tears.

Noticing how emotional the pair were, Rylan said: “My job is to make people cry before the final on It Takes Two and you’ve already started.”

“Hang on, I’m going to zip my sweater up,” the professional dancer remarked as her dance partner tried to speak.

Asked how she was feeling to be in her first final in six years, a tearful Karen replied: “I think I’m tired.

“I’m exhausted but you know, it’s been a long wait and I don’t even know what to say. I’m glad it’s with Jamie.”

The presenter moved on to speaking about the fact it was the second time the reality television star had been a part of the programme as a contestant.

According to the latest odds from Coral bookmakers, it seems Karen and Jamie are going to have to do a lot in order to take the crown.

Currently, they are the outsiders to win at 50/1, so it could be the professional dancer lands in the fourth position for a third time.

Leading the charge is comedian Bill Bailey, 55, whose chances of winning are the best at 8/1, with HRVY, 21, close behind at 7/4.

EastEnders star Maisie Smith, 19, is sitting comfortably in the third position as it seems she could snatch victory at 6/1.

Spokesperson John Hill said: “Bill is the one to beat this weekend. He has been the favourite to lift the Glitterball Trophy from early into this series.

“HRVY is sure to throw down a strong challenger to the favourite in what should be one of the best Strictly finals we have seen in recent years.”

Fans are still getting behind Jamie as one wrote on Twitter: “Jamie is probably the only celeb going into that final with absolutely no pressure. he’s just going to go out there and have the best time #strictly.”

Another posted: “Good luck Jamie! Your show dance looks great in training. You’re going to do great I’m sure. I hope to see you get all 10s on one of your dances. #Strictly.”

Strictly Come Dancing concludes Saturday at 6pm on BBC One.
