The Blades, yet to win all season, went ahead inside five minutes after a horror blunder from the United stopper, who spilled the ball into the path of David McGoldrick to slot home.
United soon hit back, Rashford notching a fizzing volley before Martial was unleashed by Pogba to finish. A fine team move in the second half helped Rashford to his second, before McGoldrick also completed a brace to set up a tense finale.
