Piers Morgan cheekily brands GMB co-host Susanna Reid a ‘hot piece of a**’ as she turns 50

Susanna Reid celebrated the big 50 last week, and while it might not have been the birthday surrounded by friends and family that she’d hoped for due to coronavirus still scuppering plans, it’s safe tot say she was feeling thankful. With her ITV colleagues all wanting to make her day as special as they could, Piers Morgan was among them and even went as far as labelling his on-screen bestie as a “hot piece of a**” after she received the title of worlds best bum.

She, along with her co-star Laura Tobin and Britain’s Got Talent’s Amanda Holden have all been found to have the ideal derriere according to research conducted by Harley Street cosmetic surgeon Dr Riccardo Frati.

Having studied celebrity posteriors, Dr Frati deemed Susanna to have the ideal 3-2-3 ‘bottom-waist-breast’ proportions.

And in his latest column for the Mail Online, Piers poked fun at the accolade: “Of course, my arch-feminist co-presenter would normally recoil in faux horror at such shameful objectification of her body,” Piers laughed.

“‘I want to be judged on my brains, not my looks,’ she regularly spits at me when I dare to comment on her appearance.”

He continued: “Yet oddly, when I told her she’d beaten off Kim Kardashian, Beyoncé and J-Lo to the title of world’s best backside, Susanna began dementedly punching the air and screaming jubilantly like Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally: ‘YES! YES! YES!’

“Happy Birthday, Susanna – you hot piece of a**.”

He also posted a touching tribute on Twitter, this time poking fun at himself.

He marked the milestone by sharing a funny snap of themselves in a patriotic bed, with Piers reading a “I love me” book.

He wrote: “Happy 50th Birthday to my fabulous, long-suffering TV wife @susannareid100 who when first told I’d been hired to be her ⁦⁦@GMB⁩ co-host 5yrs ago responded: ‘Are you ****ing joking????!’ Time’s been a great healer…”

Recently, Piers spoke of his dubious colleague’s fears ahead of their fifth year anniversary.

And that’s not to mention his numerous books, Life Stories show and true crime programs sporting up close and personal interviews with killers.

But the one thing he didn’t think he’d ever do was front a flagship morning news show.

“I never thought I’d do breakfast TV,” he admitted.

“When they asked me to come in for a week I thought they were nuts, Susanna Reid thought it was the worst thing she’d ever heard!”
