Sharon Osbourne has revealed she tested positive for coronavirus and was briefly hospitalised.
The TV judge, 68, took to Twitter on Monday to announce she was now in quarantine as she recovers from the virus, writing: ‘I wanted to share I’ve tested positive for COVID-19.’
She added that husband Ozzy Osbourne, 72, has tested negative for COVID-19 continuing: ‘After a brief hospitalization, I’m now recuperating at a location away from Ozzy (who has tested negative) while The Talk is on scheduled hiatus.’
She implored her fans, ‘Everyone please stay safe and healthy.’

One of her co-hosts on the program, Carrie Ann Inaba, said last week that she tested positive in an Instagram post, saying she suffered ‘lots of aches and pains’ and a coughing fever ahead of the test, which sidelined her from the CBS show for a week.
Sheryl Underwood said during the broadcast Thursday, ‘As you can see, Carrie Ann is not here with us today … she found out this morning that she tested positive for COVID-19.
‘Obviously, our thoughts are with her, we love her, and we’re praying for a full recovery. And, out of an abundance of caution, Mrs. O will be doing the show from home today, even though she tested negative for the coronavirus.’
The TV personality implored her fans, ‘Everyone please stay safe and healthy’

Sharon said on the show, ‘I send all my love and prayers to Carrie Ann.’
Back in September Sharon Osbourne said she quarantined from The Talk after her three-year-old granddaughter Minnie tested positive for COVID-19.
The star told her fellow panelists that her relatives were in good health amid the family scare, including her son Jack – Minnie’s father – who is living with multiple sclerosis.
‘I was meant to be in the studio, I was so looking forward to it,’ Osbourne said while appearing remotely on the show.

‘And then, unfortunately, one of my granddaughters has come down with COVID. She’s okay; she’s doing good. I don’t have it.’
‘Her daddy doesn’t have it. Her mommy doesn’t have it. Her sisters don’t. She got it from somebody who works for my son. And it just goes to show you, she’s three years of age, that children can get COVID.’
Despite the setback, Sharon said her heart was with The Talk on it’s 11th season debut, but she was acting out of caution amid the pandemic and following safety protocols.
‘Oh my Lord, I want to see you guys so bad,’ she said. ‘I’ve got one more week left of quarantining and then I’m out.

‘And as I say, I don’t have it. I keep testing negative, but, you know, you have to be safe.’
Speaking with GQ last month, Ozzy has also said of his preexisting conditions: ‘I’ve got emphysema, so if I get this virus, I’m f****d.’
Sheryl Underwood asked Sharon, ‘Sharon, did Jack ask about me? He may need me to come and quarantine with him.’
She replied that Jack was ‘equally as upset because he was planning on coming to the studio with me just to wish you good luck.’

Sharon’s announcement comes as the talk show has concluded its production for the remainder of 2020.
The show is slated to undergo some personnel changes, with Eve and Marie Osmond leaving, with incoming replacements Elaine Welteroth and Amanda Kloots (who lost her husband Nick Cordero at 42 to coronavirus complications this past July).
As of Monday, on a global level, 1,620,490 people have died amid more than 72,824,936 positive diagnoses worldwide, according to Johns Hopkins University. The death total for COVID-19 in the U.S. was at 300,477 people, with 16,516,874 total positive diagnoses.
