Jesy Nelson breaks silence as singer announces she's quit Little Mix 'Incredibly sad'

Little Mix first rose to fame after they won the X Factor in 2011 – a four-piece girl group known earlier in the series as Rhythmix, consisting of members Jesy, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jade Thirlwall.

The girls recently headed up their own reality TV show for a new band called Little Mix: The Search but rumours began to circulate on whether the group would continue.

Jesy Nelson did not appear with the group on Strictly Come Dancing, signalling further concerns the band had broken up.

Then, the girls were expected to do some hosting at the MTV European Music Awards, and again only three members appeared while Jesy was nowhere to be found.

At the time of these non-appearances, representatives for Jesy spoke out, revealing she was “unwell.”
