David never thought he would find love again, before meeting his wife Gill Hinchcliffe, a production executive, which admittedly changed his life.
“I don’t think you do. You don’t sort of go out and look for it,” he remarked.
“Fortunately it did happen that way and it helped heal the past memories.”
David tied the knot with Gill in 2005 after the pair met behind the scenes on Darling Buds Of May.
He said: “Nature took its course. (I thought) good grief – where has this one been all my life.”
