Manchester United face nervous wait over fitness of Marcus Rashford after forward suffered ‘shoulder niggle’ in PSG defeat as Solskjaer says: ‘Hopefully he will be ready for the West Ham game’
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hopeful Marcus Rashford will be available for Manchester United’s trip to West Ham after the attacker was forced off against Paris Saint Germain.
The 23-year-old was withdrawn with 15 minutes remaining of United’s 3-1 loss to the French champions in their feisty Group H clash at Old Trafford with what looked to be a shoulder injury.
Rashford immediately walked down the tunnel after being replaced by Paul Pogba, as a Neymar brace put the Parisians in a commanding position in the group heading into the final round of games.

And Solskjaer has provided an update on the fitness of his star attacker, who did not play in the recent international break as a result of a similar shoulder concern.
‘It’s a niggling shoulder injury,’ Solskjaer told BT Sport after the final whistle. ‘Let’s see how quickly he can recover. Hopefully he will be ready for the West Ham game.’
Rashford’s absence would be a big loss for United, with the England international full of confidence in the outing against PSG on Wednesday evening.
