BREAKING NEWS: Staffer suffers ‘serious’ injuries after being bitten by animal at Carole Baskin’s Big Cat Rescue in Tampa

  • Worker at Carole Baskin’s Big Cat Rescue in Tampa has been bitten by an animal
  • It is not known what the animal was but the injuries are considered ‘serious’ 
  • The park is currently closed to the public due to the pandemic 

A staffer has been bitten by an animal at Carole Baskin’s Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida.

The attack on the worker happened at around 8am on Thursday morning and fire officials rushed to the scene.

It is not known what the animal was but the injuries are considered ‘serious’, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue officials told Bay News 9.

The park is currently closed to the public due to the pandemic. 

Baskin, 59, was thrust into the limelight when she featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary ‘Tiger King’ with Joe Exotic. She later appeared on ‘Dancing with the Stars’. 

The series focused on Joe’s bizarre life, his Oklahoma zoo, as well as his bitter feud with big-cat rights activist Baskin.
