Sainsbury's updates advice for Christmas home delivery slots – how to get one

Sainsbury’s has started to open Christmas delivery slots for customers to book this week. The supermarket giant has told customers the best way to grab a slot this year.

Sainsbury’s shoppers can now start to book delivery dates ahead of the big day.

The supermarket giant will stagger its delivery slots with new dates released each day.

Those hoping for delivery or collection on December 20 or 21 can book now.

Customers who want to secure delivery on December 22 can book from tomorrow, December 1.

DON’T MISS

Shoppers hoping for delivery on December 23 will be able to book their order from Wednesday, December 2.

Supermarkets deliveries have become more popular this year as many people stay at home.

The surge in demand has continued through to securing a Christmas delivery slot.

In fact, customers were faced with virtual queues of one hour when delivery slots for Tesco went live.

The supermarket giant also issued guidance on how to order their Christmas dinner.

It said: “Once slots are available, choose a date that’s right for you.

“You’ve got your slot, now secure it by checking out. As always we won’t take payment until the day of delivery or collection.

“Log in and amend your basket as many times as you like until 11pm the day before delivery or collection.”
