Jenny Ryan: The Chase star addresses Supermarket Sweep mishap cut from show ‘Hit the deck'

The Chase quiz master Jenny Ryan, 38, made the admission after I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! contestants unveiled mishaps they had suffered at work during last night’s episode. Sir Mo Farah, 37, left his campmates in hysterics after revealing he had started running in the wrong direction during a race after he fell over.

Speaking on the show’s spin-off show the Daily Drop, Jenny discussed her own embarrassing experience.

She told host Vick Hope: “I feel great empathy, I now know we’ve got something in common that we often trip over ourselves.

“I’ve hit the deck a few times, it was cut out of my episode of Supermarket Sweep,” she added, hiding her face behind her hands.

In the upcoming episode, viewers will see Jenny and her fellow Celebrity X Factor co-star Megan McKenna take on challenges in a bid to win money for their chosen charities.

The pair will go up against Emmerdale stars Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden, and Radio DJs Rickie Haywood-Williams and Melvin Odoom.

Announcing her appearance on Twitter in August, she wrote: “Can’t quite believe I’m going to check out Rylan’s checkouts!”

The show returned to screens with new host Rylan Clark-Neal after a 12-year break.

Elsewhere, Jenny shared her thoughts on this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! antics.

The Chase star said she believes contestant AJ Pritchard is “excited” to take on tonight’s trial, while Shane Richie is “fed up” of being selected.

Also tonight, the celebrity with the fewest public votes will leave the show in the first vote off.

On who she would miss the most on the programme, Jenny said: “Giovanna [Fletcher].

“She’s like ‘mumma bear’, she’s got her cubs around her.”

The chaser previously sparked rumours she could be a part of the line-up after taking a liking to this year’s series being filmed in Wales.

She told her Twitter followers it “could be a big opportunity” for her to take part, as she dislikes Australia’s hot weather and insects.

Jenny wrote ahead of the series: “My main reservations about doing #ImACeleb have always been 1. The Spiders 2. The Snakes 3. The Heat, so this could be a big opportunity for ol’ Jenny.”(sic)

The Vixen star followed up her tweet, writing: “If it’s not basically a three-week long version of Most Haunted then the network is missing a trick.”
