‘Award for today’s absolute piece of s**t goes to Marco Giannangeli. Congratulations, piece of s**t,’ wrote Teigen, 34, in reply to Giannangeli’s callous tweet, which she later deleted.

Shortly after deleting her passionate tweet, Chrissy returned to the platform, writing: ‘Sorry forgot I’m trying to be nicer lol’

Giannangeli’s original tweet, which is still present on Twitter, attempted to clarify the criticism he had towards Markle’s NYT essay.

‘Is anyone really questioning the pain and sheer awfulness of suffering a miscarriage, or are they perhaps criticizing Meghan’s decision to write a 1,000 word op-Ed about herself?’ he wrote.

In her lengthy New York Times pieces titled The Losses We Share, Markle detailed the tragic ‘July morning’ when she ‘knew [she] was losing [her] second child.’

The actress already shares one-year-old son Archie with her husband Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, 36.

‘After changing [Archie’s] diaper, I felt a sharp cramp. I dropped to the floor with him in my arms, humming a lullaby to keep us both calm, the cheerful tune a stark contrast to my sense that something was not right,’ she recalled.

‘I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second. Hours later, I lay in a hospital bed, holding my husband’s hand.

‘I felt the clamminess of his palm and kissed his knuckles, wet from both our tears. Staring at the cold white walls, my eyes glazed over. I tried to imagine how we’d heal,’ she wrote.

Later on in the essay, Meghan noted that ‘losing a child means carrying an almost unbearable grief, experienced by many but talked about by few.’

She went onto express her sadness over the fact that opening up about the loss of a pregnancy remains taboo.

‘In the pain of our loss, my husband and I discovered that in a room of 100 women, 10 to 20 of them will have suffered from miscarriage. Yet despite the staggering commonality of this pain, the conversation remains taboo, riddled with (unwarranted) shame, and perpetuating a cycle of solitary mourning.’

Following her defense of Markle, Chrissy Teigen admitted that she has recently taken a step back from social media as she finds herself in a ‘grief depression hole’ following the tragic loss of her baby son Jack in September.

‘I’m not tweeting much because I’m honestly in a bit of a grief depression hole but do not worry as I have so much help around me to get better and I’ll be fixed soon,’ wrote the model via Twitter on Wednesday.

She added: ‘they’ll call when im better and ready for pickup and u can swing by and grab me ok? thank u and love you!’

The last line of Teigen’s tweet had many confused due to its vague nature and the references to a ‘they’ and ‘u’ made throughout it.

‘My doctors diagnosed me with partial placenta abruption. We monitored it very closely, hoping for things to heal and stop. I bed, I bled and bled, lightly but all day, changing my own diapers every couple of hours when the blood got uncomfortable to lay in.

‘My bleeding was getting heavier and heavier. The fluid around Jack had become very low – he was barely able to float around. At some points, I swore it was so low I could lay on my back and feel his arms and legs from outside my belly.’

Chrissy was then given the devastating news that Jack ‘wouldn’t survive’, as doctors warned her that if she carried on bleeding, there was a chance she could lose her own life as well.

She added: ‘After a couple nights at the hospital, my doctor told me exactly what I knew was coming – it was time to say goodbye. He just wouldn’t survive this, and if it went on any longer, I might not either. ‘

‘We had tried bags and bags of blood transfusions, every single one going right through me like we hadn’t done anything at all. Late one night, I was told it would be time to let go in the morning.’

Rocking a different felt barnyard animal on each digit, Luna hid behind the kitchen counter and introduced her players.

‘We are the farm animals!’ exclaimed Luna, to which Chrissy replied: ‘I love them! What’s the cow’s name?!’

Not answering her mother’s question, Luna burst into a song that she concocted out of the sounds each animal would naturally make.
