Cadbury is giving away thousands of free chocolate bars – how to get one before Christmas

Cadbury Secret Santa is returning for its third year to give chocolate lovers the chance to secretly send a loved one a bar of the famous Dairy Milk chocolate. With Christmas just around the corner, the sweet treat, which is available free of charge, would make someone’s Christmas extra special this year. Here is how you can send one.

Chocolate fans across the UK can visit the virtual postal service and send a bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk to a friend or loved one in the post, anonymously and for free.

The chocolate company has partnered with the Trussell Trust, a charity which supports a network of food banks in the UK, to help everyone spread a little bit of love this festive season.

Paola Cassinelli, Senior Brand Manager for Cadbury Christmas said: “We can’t wait to bring our Secret Santa campaign online and give everyone the chance to send chocolate secretly to someone they love.

“It’s been a particularly tough year for many which is why we felt it was more important than ever to bring back our activation and let people secretly give to both to those they know and love, and to those who might really appreciate a small treat this Christmas.

Emma Revie, chief executive of the Trussell Trust said: “In the first six months of the pandemic, food banks in our network provided 1.2 million emergency food parcels to people who needed them, and it’s likely that food banks will be busier than ever in the lead up to this Christmas.

“This is not right but with the support of partners like Cadbury, we know this can change.

“By becoming a Secret Santa, you will be helping to help make the festive season a little bit more magical for families who need to use food banks at this time of year, while we work together towards a hunger free future.”

Those who wish to send a loved one a chocolate bar, can do so between December 2 and December 13.

Not only can the bars be delivered to anywhere in the UK, there is also a range of different flavours to choose from.

The classic Cadbury Dairy Milk is their signature bar, consisting of creamy chocolate made with fresh milk.

The Dairy Milk Winter Wonderland bar consists of Christmas tree shaped milk and white chocolate pieces, perfect for the festive period.

Cadbury Dairy Milk Whole Nut is also another popular classic which is packed with crunchy, whole hazelnuts, covered in the smooth milk chocolate.

The Fruit and Nut bar is also available to send to love one and it combines the nuts and fruit rolled into a bar.

The Dairy Milk Caramel bar is filled with a gooey caramel centre and coated in a delicious layer of Dairy Milk chocolate and is available to be sent to loved ones when the postal service opens on December 2.

One of the more newer bars from Cadbury which can be sent via the Secret Santa Service is the Dairy Milk Oreo which is packed with soft vanilla flavouring and crunchy Oreo pieces

Brits will also be able to get involved in Cadbury Secret Santa via participating Tesco stores and Asda is also stocking the full Cadbury chocolate bar range.

Cadbury is also donating advent calendars, selection boxes as well as a variety of biscuits to food banks this year.
