PS Now Black Friday 2020 deal revealed ahead of joint PlayStation Plus free games launch

A new lineup of free games are going to be announced this week for the PS Plus subscription, but it’s not the only Sony service getting a nice upgrade.

PS Now, Sony’s game-streaming service, is also getting new additions to its library that already includes hundreds of games.

The thing that puts some players off is the price, with PlayStation Now costing around $10 a month unless you buy it in bulk.

However, with Black Friday arriving later this week, Sony is providing a special deal to make PlayStation Now more enticing.

As well as the usual PlayStation Store discounts on games, anyone interested in testing out Sony’s PS Now service can do so at a discount.

If you buy a PS Now subscription for 12 months, you can get 25% off the usual price, making it a lot more affordable to use.

It should be noted that the PS Now service requires a decent internet connection, a compatible PlayStation controller, and a PS4 console, or PC.

Confirming its plans for Black Friday this week, Sony laid out its plans for its subscription services, telling fans:

“Black Friday also brings discounts on PlayStation Plus! For a limited time only, save 25% on a 12-month PlayStation Plus membership* with access to online multiplayer, monthly games, 100GB of cloud storage, as well as exclusive discounts on PS Store.

“For PS5 console owners, a PlayStation Plus membership also provides access to the PlayStation Plus Collection, featuring generation-defining PS4 titles like God of War, Days Gone, Call of Duty Black Ops III – Zombies Chronicle Edition, Resident Evil 7, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Final Fantasy XV, Mortal Kombat X, Monster Hunter: World, Fallout 4, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, and many more.

“What’s more, in regions where PlayStation Now is available – save 20% on a three-month subscription or 25% on a 12-month subscription, with hundreds of games ready to stream or download on demand.

“PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now are on-going subscriptions which continue at the current PlayStation Store price until cancelled.

“Recurring subscription fees will be charged automatically to the payment method registered to your account for PlayStation Network at the frequency chosen at checkout.

“PlayStation Now is available in the US, Canada, the UK, Japan, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Ireland, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, and The Netherlands.”

Right now, gamers can grab the PlayStation Now 12-month subscription package for 37.49, or the three-month option for 18.39.

As mentioned above, at least three new PS4 games are going to be added to the PS Now library next week.

We don’t know what this will include, but we do know at least one of them will be an indie game.

The big reveal could be made later this week, on Black Friday, or will be announced the same day as the PS Plus December lineup is launched.

This will be on Tuesday, December 1, 2020.
