Ranvir Singh admits she 'loves' the 'passion' with Strictly partner Giovanni Pernice

Strictly Come Dancing fans know the Argentine Tango is one of the hottest routines and this weekend, Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir will be tackling the dance with Giovanni Pernice. The pair have to get up close and personal for the routine and Ranvir has admitted she “loves” the passion in the dance.

The couple will be performing the Argentine Tango to Prince’s When Doves Cry on Saturday evening.

Teasing the routine, Giovanni remarked: “Argentine Tango is about the chemistry between the two dancers.”

In a training video shown on It Takes Two, the professional dancer tells Ranvir: “I want you to come close.”

“It is about the passion,” Ranvir added. “I am loving it.”

Giovanni continued: “What is very important is the leg and the connection.”

Ranvir can be seen looking in Giovanni’s eyes as they perfect the sizzling routine.

The professional remarked: “This dance is definitely going to suit Ranvir because she has to look at me all the time.”

“Hopefully by Saturday night it will all come together in a beautiful package,” Ranvir added.

Last week Ranvir and Giovanni slipped down the leaderboard as they struggled with the Cha Cha Cha so they’ll be hoping to impress with the Argentine Tango.

Both Ranvir and Giovanni are single and Susanna remarked if they were together it would be a “Strictly blessing”.

Ranvir scolded: “You know in a few minutes, I have to go an see him in the training room so this is very awkward.”

Talking about how Giovanni is as a dance partner, the presenter continued: “Oh he sizzles on his own. He doesn’t need me in the room. He is a 30-year-old hot Italian.”

Susanna reassured Ranvir: “You’re a 43-year-old sizzling specimen. Honestly you look phenomenal.”

Despite having a tough week on Strictly last week, Ranvir’s chances of winning the show are still pretty good.

Ladbrokes have priced her odds of winning at 20/1 with JJ Chalmers and Caroline Quentin both 13/8 to eliminated this weekend.

Jessica O’Reilly of Ladbrokes said: “We’re struggling to tear Caroline and JJ apart for this weekend’s elimination, but the money suggests the actress could be rescued by the votes.”

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday on BBC One at 7.15pm.
