Fans of NCIS are delighted the 18th season of the crime procedural has begun airing on Tuesday evenings. The new outing sees the show head back in time as viewers find out what Leroy Gibbs (played by Mark Harmon) was up to in series 17. NCIS season 18 began airing on November 17 as the team returned after a long hiatus.
The show was cut short earlier in 2020 by coronavirus COVID-19 and missed its usual September premiere.
However, it is now back on screens and there will be 16 episodes in total in the new season.

Unfortunately, fans in the UK will be waiting a while longer before being able to stream the show.
At the moment, there has been no confirmation about when the show will air on this side of the pond.
However, it is expected to return to FOX UK at some point in 2021 as this is where previous seasons have aired.
Season 17 of the show premiered in January 2020 in the UK after being released in September 2019 in the US.
