Dr. Dre threatens to call guests who attended his wedding as witnesses in divorce trial

Hip-hop mogul Dr. Dre is threatening to call all the guests who attended his intimate 1996 tropical wedding to appear as witnesses in his upcoming divorce trial.

The 55-year-old music tycoon and his soon-to-be-ex-wife Nicole are battling over her share of his estimated $1 billion business empire and the central issue of the dispute is a premarital agreement (PMA) they signed just before they married in Maui, Hawaii.

Nicole, 50, claims she was ‘coerced’ into signing the PMA but after their marriage, Dre tore it up in a romantic gesture of love for her.

However, Dre insists he never forced Nicole to sign the document nor did he destroy it, and now he wants it to be enforced.

In new court documents obtained by DailyMail.com, Dre is demanding for Nicole to ‘identify by name and most current known address and telephone numbers of all persons who attended’ their intimate 20-person wedding on May 25, 1996.

Dre – real name Andre Young – claims in court documents filed at LA Superior Court by his powerhouse lawyer, Laura Wasser, that these guests are ‘potential witnesses regarding her claim of duress’ that she was ‘pressured’ into signing the agreement.

It’s the latest twist in an increasingly rancorous split.

Earlier this month, Nicole – who has accused Dre of ‘rampant and repeated marital misconduct’ – filed legal documents wanting to know if he had fathered a child outside their marriage.

And she also named three of his alleged mistresses – singer Jillian Speer, model turned skin care entrepreneur Kili Anderson and Crystal Rogers, aka Crystal Sierra, known as the ‘Queen of Latin hip-hop’ – and asked a judge to subpoena them as witnesses in the divorce trial.

In the new legal documents, Wasser lashes back at Nicole’s ‘torrent of false and frankly over the top accusations.’

‘Nicole engages in the time-honored but unfortunate tactic of slinging mud against a wall and hoping something sticks,’ the attorney wrote.

Wasser also dismissed as ‘baseless and unsubstantiated’, Nicole’s claim that Dre had ‘kicked her out of the house in a drunken rage’ and also cut off her access to Dre’s accountants.

Nicole has claimed that Dre’s lawyers have shown her various versions of the premarital agreement, one that’s missing pages and is unsigned, the other that’s only signed by the couple and not by a lawyer witness or notary public.

But Wasser – countered: ‘There are no “various versions” of the PMA. There is one and only one “version” of the PMA, signed by the parties.

Dre has said that in the prenup, he and Nicole agreed to ‘keep separate all income and property acquired before and during marriage.’

And he wants a judge to determine whether the PMA is valid and enforceable.

Until that ruling is made, he maintains that his business records are none of Nicole’s business.

Wasser blasted Nicole’s demand to see thousands of pages of Dre’s business records as ‘a complete waste of time, money and resources… and nothing but a blatant attempt to harass Andre.’

Dre is asking LA Superior Court for a protection order that would limit the documents he has to give Nicole and he has balked at handing over his most private information until Nicole signs a confidentiality agreement which would keep his personal secrets hidden from the world.

But Nicole has refused to sign it.

Nicole’s attorney, Samantha Spector, accused Dre of ‘stonewalling and added: ‘Andre’s objection that gathering the documents would be an unnecessary, costly endeavor is unworthy of argument considering that he earned in excess of $100 million in 2018 and has an estimated net worth of nearly $1 billion.’

In her latest court filing, Wasser slammed Nicole for running up huge ‘out of hand’ attorney fees.

‘According to her lawyers, she has already spent more than three times what Andre’s lawyers have spent, for no discernible good reason.

‘Nicole is demanding $5 million (in attorney fees) – and this is presumably on top of over $725,000 her attorneys have already received in fees.’
