Bobby Brown Jr dead: Legendary singer's son dies aged 28 five years after sister's death

The 28-year-old son of R&B singer Bobby Brown and Kim Ward has been found dead at his home in Los Angeles, it has been reported. A source close to the family told US media outlet TMZ that he was found dead on Wednesday.

The publication suggests police are still at the house and at this point don’t believe there was foul play involved.

Cause of death is yet to be confirmed.

Bobby Jr was one of seven children, appearing in the family’s reality television show Being Bobby Brown at 13, alongside his sister and step-mother, Whitney Houston, who married his father in 1992.

The pair soon divorced 2007.

Bobby Brown dated Jr’s mother Kim for 11 years previous.

His death comes as part of a string of saddening tragedies to befall the family in recent years, after his step-sister Bobbi Kristina, daughter of the older Bobby and Whitney, passed away five years ago.

Bobbi was discovered unconscious in her bath other home in Georgia.

The coroner ruled her cause of death to be drowning after toxic levels of cocaine and alcohol were discovered in her system.

After hearing of the sad news, fans rushed to Twitter to send their condolences and prayers to the entire Brown family.

“Rest in peace, Bobby Jr. I feel for Bobby Brown, he’s lost so many loved ones,” one said sadly.

Another commemorated: “Devastating news for Bobby Brown who just lost his son.”

“Bobby Brown’s Son Bobby Brown Jr. just passed away. I feel sad and heartbroken for Bobby Brown. First his wife, then his daughter, now his son. That has to be rough,” a third sent his prayers to the singer.
