Jim Edmonds SLAMS estranged wife Meghan King for putting their family at risk amid COVID-19

Jim Edmonds has slammed estranged wife Meghan King for being reckless in the days leading up to her COVID-19 diagnosis.

The former MLB star claims her recent Halloween antics and trip to Florida where she attended a handful of social events without masks, put his family in danger.

Meghan, 36, revealed on Sunday that she’s now isolating after getting the positive test.

Jim’s rep Steve Honig told Dailymail.com: ‘Jim understandably feels that Meghan has a lot of explaining to do. She attended a major Halloween event in St. Louis then went to Miami and shortly thereafter announced she tested positive for COVID-19.’

Honig also told TMZ that Jim is ‘pissed’ at Meghan and thinks she’s not acting like a responsible parent.

The former RHOC star shared photos from the Halloween bash which she attended with boyfriend Christian Schauf before jetting to Miami for a girls’ getaway and sharing more snaps with no face masks in sight.

A source told TMZ that Meghan came back to Jim’s house in St. Louis after the Miami trip to pick up their three children, hugging and kissing them.

The source adds that Meghan had likely already been exposed by that point and put not only their kids at risk but also Jim’s girlfriend, Kortnie O’Connor.

They also accuse Meghan of lying about the timing of when she says she was exposed to the virus to take the focus off her recent partying.

TMZ reports that Jim – who also contracted COVID-19 earlier this year – called Meghan to express his disappointment about her recklessness after he learned of her diagnosis.

Dailymail.com has reached out to a rep for Meghan for comment.

Over the weekend Meghan went public with her diagnosis on her Instagram Stories.

‘I tested positive for Covid. I have been safe while traveling but I had an exchange on Tuesday where I did not protect myself and this is when I had to have been infected,’ the reality star, 36, wrote before referencing the current safety precautions she been taking.

‘I have been safe with distancing and masks since Tuesday including when I went to dinner solo and stayed distant and wore a mask at Hayes’s soccer.’

King then went into detail about how she and the family are planning to keep their children – daughter Aspen, three, and twin sons Hart and Hayes, two – safe going forward.

‘My kids have been at their father’s but Hayes will quarantine due to a brief (1 hour) proximity to me,’ King added.

‘I have contacted everyone and will isolate for 10 days minimum per CDC guidelines. My children will have to stay with my parents as they cannot stay at my house while I’m sick.’

King confessed to her one million fans and followers that she’s ‘feeling poorly’ but also emphasized that she’s okay.

‘I went in to be tested mainly due to extreme lethargy, but I just knew I was positive,’ she explained about how she felt right before she got back her results.

‘I don’t have a fever. I do have extreme exhaustion, sneezing, a mild cough, and diarrhea. I think I’m losing my sense of smell. I ordered a regimen of vitamins and getting tons of rest, water, and food delivery. None of my friends or family are infected or have any symptoms.’

Initially, King thought she might just have a cold, but she eventually started to think it may be the coronavirus when extreme fatigue symptoms surfaced.

‘I have been under immense amounts of stress recently and I knew my immune system was low bc of that. So despite having been directly exposed multiple times, this was the time that got me,’ she said.

It turns out King shared a photo of herself with her boy Hayes, that was taken at his soccer game on Saturday, just prior to her knowing she had COVID-19.

‘The millisecond I thought I could have something other than a cold I went and got tested. I would NEVER go out in public whilst even believing in the slightest I could have Covid,’ she said.

‘But even when I believed I was healthy I still social distance[d] and wore masks while in public (unless I was with my bubble). I believe I caught it at the very beginning before normal symptoms developed. I don’t even have a fever.’

King revealed her positive COVID-19 results were done through a rapid test, which she said has been hard to find in Missouri.

Jim and Meghan married in 2014 after dating for a year and a half. They have a daughter Aspen, four, together as well as twins Hayes and Hart, two.

They split in October 2019 when Jim filed for divorce amid rumors he had an affair with their former nanny, Carly Wilson. (Both Jim and Carly have denied having a sexual relationship).

They have been embroiled in an ugly custody battle ever since and split time with their kids, Jim in Missouri and Meghan splitting time between her home in California and Missouri.
