Joe Biden issues chilling warning about Trump’s transfer of power – ‘More people may die’

The US President-elect also called on the Trump administration to share their plans for coronavirus vaccinations with his team. Mr Trump is delaying the official transition process by refusing to concede the electoral victory to Mr Biden.

He said: “The sooner we have access to the administration’s distribution plan, the sooner this transition will smoothly move forward.

“More people may die if we don’t coordinate.

“How do we get over 300 million Americans vaccinated, what’s the game plan?

“It’s a huge, huge undertaking to get it done and prioritise those greatest in need and working our way through it.

“And they say they had this warp speed program that they not only dealt with getting vaccines but also how to distribute.”

He stressed the importance of both sides cooperating with urgency instead of waiting until Inauguration Day on January 20.

Mr Biden said: “If we have to wait until January 20th to start that plan, it puts us behind a month.”

The President-elect spoke at a virtual meeting with CEOs and labour leaders about the economic impact of the pandemic.

But despite his bleak prediction for the coming months, Mr Biden outlined his ideas for an economic recovery.

Among his plans for the country’s pandemic-stricken economy, Mr Biden said he intended to help the middle class “better than ever”.

He said: “That’s how we make sure your workers are treated with dignity and respect they deserve.

“I could tell you that I was very encouraged by our conversation.
