Emma Corrin: The Crown's Princess Diana on warning from co-stars 'Don't do that so much'

She continued: “They also realised I like talking to people and sharing stuff and they were like, ‘That’s lovely, but you are going to want to not do that so much.’”

Playing the “nation’s favourite princess”, Emma revealed she wanted to portray her as accurately as possible, which meant writing in her battle with bulimia.

“I felt that if we were trying to depict bulimia in an honest way, we had to show it,“ she explained, as it was off her own back that the sensitive vomiting scenes were included.

“I don’t think we should shy away from those conversations; Diana was very candid about her experience with bulimia and I so admire that.”

And as a young actress, she admitted her own experiences of feeling pressure to stay thin and look glamorous.
