Anton du Beke is ‘more authentic’ than the other Strictly judges and 'balances' the panel

Anton Du Beke, 54, has been performing on Strictly Come Dancing since the show began in 2004. He is known for his outgoing personality and last night he took the place of Motsi Mabuse and joined the judging panel. One body language expert analysed Anton’s movements and expressions on the show, to suggest how good he may be as a permanent judge.

One person said: “Please make him a permanent judge. He’s amazing!”

Another Tweeted: “Come on BBC, the people have spoken!!! Anton for permanent judge No 4!”

“He was brilliant tonight. Please keep him as a judge. He is the only judge still dancing and his comments are relevant and based on his experience as a pro teaching celebs,” a third wrote.

Judi also explained how the professional dancer “balances” the Strictly judging panel out.

She added: “Anton looks like a young Bruce Forsyth and he even channelled Simon Cowell at one point with his famous ‘I didn’t like it, I loved it’ catchphrase, but the person he channeled the most was lovely Len Goodman, with his kinder, more thoughtful, down-to-earth approach and jokes.

“He balances the panel and he works as a judge. Hopefully they are building a fourth table for him right now on that plinth because he deserves it.”

Who is the strongest couple in this year’s series?

According to the body language expert, Good Morning Britain’s Ranvir Singh and professional dance partner Giovanni Pernice.

The pair danced the Cha-cha-cha to Oye Como Va/I Like it Like That by Santana on last night’s show.

Judi said: “They might have belly-flopped to the lower rungs of the leaderboard this week but Ranvir and Giovanni are still the couple with the strongest chemistry in the show, so much so that it is almost eclipsing their dancing skills.

“Ranvir had clearly suffered a major dip in her body confidence pre-Strictly but Giovanni appears to have melted her down and built her back up into a woman capable of doing one of the sexiest dances of the night with their passionate Cha-cha-cha.

“The couple’s torsos clamp together like magnets and their gyrating hips as they locked in tonight should almost have been X-rated.”

Fans rushed to Twitter to express their feelings on the pair’s performance.

One person commented: “You were amazing Ranvir and Giovanni, you definitely have my vote, love the chemistry.”

Another said: “Wow that was a sizzling hot Cha-cha-cha by Ranvir and Giovanni, amazing legs and those hip movements were incredible.”
