There's a cheaper way to watch Sky TV, Disney+ and Netflix, and you’ve got Roku to thank

Sky, Disney+ and Netflix fans now have a cheaper way to access these popular services. Roku, who makes some of the most popular streaming devices on the market, has announced a swathe of deals which slashes the cost of their connected products. These early Black Friday bargains, which start on November 18, include over £10 off the Roku Express, a £12 reduction on the Roku Premier and £15 off of the Roku Streaming Stick+.

All of these devices plug straight into the HDMI port on the rear of your TV and offer instant access to services including Sky’s NOW TV, Netflix, iPlayer and Disney+.

There’s even a remote control in the box which brings a simple way of accessing content, changing channels and pumping up the volume.

You will, of course, still need to subscribe to some of these services, but the Roku discount does make it cheaper to get things on your TV.

Here’s how much each device will cost you when the sale starts.

Get a Roku Express for just £17.99 (RRP £29.99)

Get a Roku Premiere for just £27.99 (RRP £39.99)

Get a Roku Streaming Stick+ for just £34.99 (RRP £49.99)

These offers will be available at Amazon, Argos, Curry’s PC World and Very across the UK.

Along with those deals, there’s also another big discount on the new Roku Streambar which not only brings a swathe of services to your TV but also boosts the sound.

The US firm’s all-new Roku Streambar now enjoys an in-built speaker to help boost the audio of your favourite shows and movies without the need for any extra kit.

In fact, the firm is boasting that this two-in-one entertainment upgrade not only adds pin-sharp 4K HDR streaming to your telly but also cinematic sound.

To help achieve this ear-pleasing sound, Roku has included four 1.9″ full-range drivers inside the speaker which have the power to produce rich Dolby Audio. Despite its compact design, Roku is confident its mini soundbar can create crisp, clean audio that makes dialogue easier to hear while its angled side drivers should help fill a room with noise.

The Roku Streambar will be on sale from November 25 for £99.99 which is a saving of £30 off the usual price.

Roku isn’t the only firm announcing early Black Friday deals with Currys revealing some of its offers are now live.

The retailer’s “Ready, Set, Go!” event runs until November 19 and has plenty of discounts on top tech including 4K TVs, Windows 10 laptops, fitness trackers and Beats headphones.
