Yellowstone volcano: 86 earthquakes rock US National Park – Sign of eruption brewing?

Between October 1 and November 1, there have been four eruptions of the world-famous Steamboat Geyser.

The blasts went off on October 5, 14, 19 and 27, and bring 2020’s eruption tally up to 42.

And the University of Utah Seismograph Stations network recorded a total of 86 earthquakes.

The strongest of these tremors was a magnitude 2.1 event about 17 miles northwest of Lake, Yellowstone National Park, on October 2.

But this is normal for the park, which experiences between 1,000 and 3,000 earthquakes every year.
