Virginia Beach Police Department were called to the 3700 block of Whitney Court at around 5:30pm local time (22:30pm GMT). Locals have been advised to stay away from the area as the situation is still active. Just a day ago, three teenagers were shot in Lynnhaven Mall in Virginia Beach.
They continued: “2 adults and 2 children have been transported to local hospitals with what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.
“This is a very active scene.”
Later the same night a shooting took place on the 600 block at Newton Road.
One man died at the scene from his injuries, with the police department saying “this is an active scene”.
Three days ago, another man was shot to death in Norfolk, Virginia Beach.
It took place at around 5:30pm in the 1200 block of Thistle Street, by Barraud Park.
The 37 year old later died at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital from his injuries.
It was the second shooting in Norfolk on Thursday.
