Piers Morgan shocks GMB co-host Susanna Reid with 'very awkward' naked hotel mishap

Piers Morgan, 55, revealed to his colleague Susanna Reid that he was once left naked in a hotel corridor, after he thought room service had delivered his food to his door, only to end up accidentally being shut out. The GMB host was left “wandering” the corridors “completely stark naked” as he attempted to find someone to let him back into his hotel room.

The admission from Piers, came after GMB reporter Nick Dixon shared that he once got his shirt sleeve stuck in his hotel room door before arriving at the ITV studios.

This reminded Piers of his own hotel mishap, as he divulged: “I remember once thinking room service would come to my door, many years ago, and I opened the door poked my head out, couldn’t see anything and thought they may have left it on the floor.

“Popped out, door shuts behind me, wouldn’t have mattered had I not been completely stark naked, and then had to wander around the corridor of this hotel trying to find somebody.

“It was very awkward,” he added.

“Maybe stop making this crisis about your struggle with trolls & direct your energy into rallying support for NHS workers risking their lives for us all in very dangerous circumstances?”

Piers has now alleged that TV bosses have asked him to issue her with an apology.

He told the Mirror: “She got a load of TV execs to call me up trying to get me to stop and apologise.

“I was like, ‘You’ve got to be joking’. It was a very short phone call. I said, ‘I’m entitled to my opinion and I intend to keep saying it’, which they accepted.”

He added: “Everyone’s going to have an opinion but you should respect opinions you don’t agree with.”

Kirstie responded to Piers remarks by labelling him a “total b*****d” for sharing the post with his many followers.

She wrote: “You total b*****d there was NO need to Retweet that to your millions of followers, it was totally unnecessary and unkind thing to do.”

Piers, not stepping down from the argument, continued the row by retweeting the star once more, as he typed: “Oh get over yourself. Seriously. People are dying, and others are risking their lives to try to save them.”
