The two were up in the air swinging their Lightsabers when the adorable character could be seen on the ground gazing at them.

Vader says ‘aww’ followed by Rey saying ‘so cute’ and jump back into fighting before falling into a portal.

It all comes back around at the end of the clip as they fall on Tatooine in front of Luke Skywalker with several other characters.

Both are astonished as Rey says: ‘Master Skywalker?’

Then Darth – who is the father of Luke – makes light of the two suns on the planet as he hilariously responds: ‘My son…I mean these binary suns.’

No doubt Star Wars fans of all ages will enjoy the film as even the two-minute clip was chock full of zany scenes mixed in with references from each of the films including things that more die-hard fans would be familiar with.

One such instance in the trailer came when both the young and older Han Solo characters were shown  coming face-to-face with the character Greedo.

The older Han asks ‘Do you wanna shoot first?’ then the younger one says ‘after you’ before they both shoot at the Rodian bounty hunter.

This references the original Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope film in which Han shoots Greedo dead but was later edited by George Lucas to show Greedo firing first to give Solo more justification for acting in self-defense.

The official description of the special reads: ‘At a mysterious Jedi Temple, she is hurled into a cross-timeline adventure through beloved moments in Star Wars cinematic history, coming into contact with Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Yoda, Obi-Wan and other iconic heroes and villains from all nine Skywalker saga films.

‘But will she make it back in time for the Life Day feast and learn the true meaning of holiday spirit?’
