  • Pennsylvania AG Josh Shapiro conducted an interview with MSNBC from his home on Friday night
  • While he was speaking, his teenage son Jonah accidentally wandered into the room behind him while texting on his phone
  • The youngster looked up and quickly realized his mistake before backing out with a smile on his face
  • The moment delighted anxious TV viewers who are still waiting for the US presidential election results to be counted nearly a week on from Election Day

Amid the stress of the ongoing US election count, anxious TV viewers have enjoyed an unexpected moment of comedic relief on MSNBC.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Schapiro was being interviewed by the cable network from his home in Abington on Friday night when his teenage son Jonah wandered into the room.

Video of the incident, which is now going viral on social media, shows the Attorney General speaking via Zoom, completely unaware that the teen had strolled into the frame behind him.

In the short clip, Democrat Shapiro is heard railing against President Trump as the boy walks in texting on his phone.

When Jonah looks up from his device, he realizes his father is conducting an important video chat and quietly backs out of the room with a cheeky grin on his face.

The video is made all the more humorous by the fact Shapiro had set up his computer so that an impressive wall of books would appear in his background.

The fact that Jonah crashed the interviewed quickly shattered Shapiro’s carefully-crafted image of professionalism.

It’s not the first time that a father has had his live TV interview crashed by his children.

Back in 2017, Professor Robert Kelly was discussing politics during a BBC interview conducted from his home office.

The father hilariously had his TV appearance interrupted by his two young kids who came running into the room followed by their mother who whisked them out of the frame.
