Man Utd player ratings vs Everton: Fernandes gets top marks as Wan-Bissaka toils in win

Manchester United put recent horror shows behind them with a vital 3-1 win over Everton on Saturday. The Red Devils fell behind early on through Bernard but a Bruno Fernandes brace and Edinson Cavani finish gave the away side all three points. Express Sport will now rate and slate the players from the showdown at Goodison Park.

David De Gea – 6

Couldn’t do anything about Bernard’s goal, having been unsighted by Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Won’t like not keeping a clean sheet on his 30th birthday.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 5

United won, but Aaron Wan-Bissaka was one of the worst players on the pitch. His loss of form will worry Solskjaer, especially with so little in reserve.

Harry Maguire – 6

Lead from the front. Still battling to find his best form but the United star skippered his side to victory on this occasion.

Victor Lindelof – 7

Had to cover for Wan-Bissaka on numerous occasions and did well after missing the 2-1 defeat to Istanbul Basaksehir on Wednesday night.

Axel Tuanzebe – 6

Came on and provided United with some defensive protection in the closing stages.

Edinson Cavani – 7

Looked sharp after being introduced and came close to winning a penalty. Scored late on, his first goal in English football.

Paul Pogba – 6

Did little of note during his time on the pitch.
