GG Gharachedaghi, 38, of Shahs Of Sunset announces her 'beautiful, strong, loving grandma' has died

Golnesa ‘GG’ Gharachedaghi of Shahs Of Sunset fame announced a personal loss on her Instagram page this week.

‘My beautiful, strong, loving grandma has passed on,’ wrote the 38-year-old this Thursday with prayer and heart emoji.

Alongside the caption the reality included an old sepia photograph of her grandmother posing against a background of greenery.

Her grandmother lived just long enough to see GG become a mother herself when she gave birth to a baby boy this April.

GG, who named her son Elijah after The Lord Of The Rings star Elijah Wood, conceived with the help of a sperm donor.

‘Honestly, since I was little, I have been in love with Elijah Wood. I remember first seeing him in [1992’s] Radio Flyer. He was just, the guy for me,’ GG told People.

‘My best friend and I even had a bet where I said if I had a boy, I’d name him Elijah. So when I found out I was pregnant with a boy, I was like: “Well, that’s settled!”‘ 

The name has the added advantage of being a tip of the hat to GG’s Jewish sperm donor as ‘It’s a Hebrew name, so it’s kind of honors my “Donor Daddy,” as I call him. It was just perfect; it all worked out perfectly.’ 

GG, who comes from a Muslim background, eloped with Shalom Yeruoshalmi in January 2017 but they split two months later.

‘In the simplest terms that I can put it, I would say submissions breeds resentment,’ said GG, who had gotten a tattoo of Shalom’s name. 

‘I have never believed in marriage. I did something to make someone else happy and I completely regretted it afterwards,’ she dished to People.

‘I knew what I did was wrong and it wasn’t for me or for my happiness, but for someone else, and I guess for one moment I thought maybe someone else’s happiness will do it for me. And it didn’t.’

Four years before her failed marriage she was briefly engaged to erstwhile Shahs Of Sunset recurring star Omid Kalantari.
