A food recall warning is usually issued when a product is known to be unsafe. Lidl has asked shoppers to check their fridges for a meatball product.
The affected packs are 550 grams with the best before date of January 5, 2020.
Point-of-sale notices have been issued and will be displayed in Lidl GB stores.
These contain more information about the product and what shoppers should do if they have bought it.
The statement said: “Lidl GB is recalling What’s Cooking Lighter For You, Meatballs with Pasta and Spinach, 550 grams with Best Before Date January 5, 2020 because the product contained within the packaging may be incorrect.

“Therefore, there is a potential presence of undeclared milk.”
Those who have bought the item and may be at risk can return it for a full refund.
The statement continued: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to milk, we advise you not to eat it.
“Instead, if you are already making an essential trip to a Lidl GB store you can return the item to the store for a full refund, with or without a receipt.”
The relevant allergy support groups have been contacted by the retailer and they will get in touch with members.
Food recalls are not often issued but should be taken seriously by consumers.
A product can be recalled by supermarkets if it is known to be faulty.
It can also be withdrawn, which means it is taken off of shelves.
