Tottenham player ratings: Harry Kane and Lucas Moura excel as Spurs ease past Ludogorets

Tottenham managed to put the disappointments of last week’s Europa League defeat to Antwerp behind them by putting in a professional performance at Ludogorets. Goals from Harry Kane, Lucas Moura and Giovani Lo Celso proved to be the difference.

Jose Mourinho’s side emerged 2-1 winners in Bulgaria to keep them on track to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.

Captain for the night, Harry Kane, led by example to open the scoring with a fine header to bring up his 200th goal for the club.

Lucas Moura then doubled the visitors lead around 20 minutes later after some smooth link up play from Kane and Gareth Bale, before Claudiu Keseru pulled one back for Ludogorets.

Son Heung-Min then played in Giovani Lo Celso to wrap up the win with just under half an hour to go.

Joe Hart – 6

The stand in skipper looked fairly composed between the sticks. He had little to do in the first half, and will be annoyed not to have come away with a clean sheet.

Matt Doherty – 6

Tried to get stuck in and picked up an unneccessary yellow card, but played with his heart on his sleeve to ensure Spurs picked up all three points.

Toby Alderweireld – 5

Not his best performance in a Tottenham shirt but didn’t do much to worry Mourinho.

Eric Dier – 5

Was caught appealing for offside instead of tracking the Ludogorets goalscorer, though he wasn’t really at fault for the goal.

Ben Davies – 6

Saw out the full 90 minutes but very little to write home about for the Wales left-back.

Moussa Sissoko – 6

Still being eased back in after his long-term absence, but looked solid in the first 45 minutes.

Harry Winks – 7

Was unlucky to see the ball bounce off the bottom of his boot for the Ludogorets goal, but controlled the midfield in trademark fashion.

Giovani Lo Celso – 7

Earned his goal by putting in the hard yards and helping keep the energy levels high among the Spurs ranks.
