Riverdale: Will former Josie and the Pussycats star reprise role for Riverdale season 5?

Riverdale tells the story of the Core Four – made up of Jughead Jones (played by Cole Sprouse), Archie Andrews (KJ Apa), Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) and Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) – as well as the gruesome tales of the once quiet suburban town. The Netflix series will be returning for a fifth season which will feature a seven-year time jump.

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Riverdale.

The last time Riverdale fans saw the teen drama, the gang was still at Riverdale High and trying to find out who was sending the mysterious video tapes.

This storyline will continue, along with episodes for graduation and prom, but following this, the show will be launched seven years into the future.

So Riverdale is going to show what all of the teenagers get up to as adults, following their dramatic school days.

One of their old classmates could also be making an appearance in the next series.

Will former Josie and the Pussycats star reprise role for Riverdale season 5?

Valerie Brown (Hayley Law) was one third of band Josie and the Pussycats, alongside Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray) and Melody Valentine (Asha Bromfield).

The girl group was popular at Riverdale High, often performing for their friends and families at big events.

This was until Valerie and Melody left the group in season two as they discovered Josie had secretly been trying to get her solo career going.

Valerie and Melody haven’t featured in Riverdale since the band broke up but it looks like the former may return.

Law went on to appear in sci-fi series Altered Carbon as Lizzie Elliot.

Unfortunately, the show was cancelled after just two seasons on the streaming service.

So with no more filming for Altered Carbon, could this mean Law will make a comeback for Riverdale season five?

There is now also a chance for former fellow band member Josie McCoy to return to Riverdale.
