JJ Chalmers danced the Paso Doble on Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday where he scored 36 points in total, where he matched his score from last week where he danced the Waltz alongside dance partner Any Dowden. But what is known of JJ’s family life away from the show?

JJ has two children with wife Kornelia Chitursko, including four-year-old Hayley and one-year-old son James.
Talking to The Scotsman, JJ spoke of how his daughter reacted to his first live show.

He told Lorraine Kelly: “I’m always looking for a challenge, I’m always looking to push myself outside my comfort zone.
He continued: “And if I wanted to find a challenge you know like climbing Everest or going to the north pole, of course, those things would be difficult.
“But they would be within my comfort zone essentially because it’s the kind of thing I’m used to having done in my life.
“This is completely off the chart and so it’s going to be a huge challenge but I’m really looking forward to learning something brand new.”
