Ferran’s Manchester City team-mate Phil Foden (£63.3m) and Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi (£42.4m) round out the Premier League’s top five.

However, of those names it’s only the first four that make the cut in terms of Europe’s top five leagues.

Despite a staggering £103.8m valuation, Greenwood only ranks fifth in the top 100 list overall.

Heading up the highest estimated transfer values is Bayern Munich left back Alphonso Davies with the Canadian’s fee calculated at a whopping £162.5m.

The 20-year-old, who celebrated his birthday on Monday, is a mainstay with the Bayern Munich team and played an integral part in their Treble-winning campaign last season.

The Bundesliga also has second place in the shape of Jadon Sancho. The Borussia Dortmund winger is valued at £113.1m – a higher figure than the the German giants requested from Manchester United when they pursued the England international this summer unsuccessfully (£108m).

Sancho’s Dortmund team-mate Erling Haaland is fourth on the list with a valuation of £108.3m. The Bundesliga’s dominance is split by La Liga with Barcelona forward Ansu Fati ranked third at £110.5m.

With Greenwood fifth in this top 100 list, Torres and Sako follow him in sixth and seventh respectively.

Juventus forward Dejan Kulusevski is Serie A’s sole representation in the top 10 at eighth with an estimated valuation of £67.7m.

Foden is ninth and completing the top 10 is Real Madrid’s Rodrygo Goes at £63m.

CIES’ study includes multiple variables to determine the worth of a player using an algorithm. They include the length of contract remaining, age, international status, career progression, as well as the performances in the different competitions played both for clubs and national teams (minutes, goals, assists, dribbles, passes, etc.).

From their list, the Premier League equates to one quarter of the top 100 with exactly 25 entries included.
