Both candidates have had their children involved in their bids for victory this year, both willingly and unwillingly. Mr Trump has dragged both his and Mr Biden’s children into the debate, in attempts to use them as political tools.

How many children does Donald Trump have?

Mr Trump’s children have stood at his side for much of his working life, especially his two eldest.

With his first wife Ivana, Mr Trump has Donald Trump Jr, Ivanka and Eric Trump.

They have appeared alongside the President both before and after the 2016 election on television and the campaign trail.

Mr Trump also has one child, Barron, with his current wife, Melania.

Barron is the youngest of the Trump children at age 14 and has not yet finished school.

He has appeared alongside his father as silent support several times since his election in 2016.

Most notably, he debuted alongside Mr Trump during his RNC acceptance speech, presidential victory speech and inauguration ceremony.

Mr Trump also has several grandchildren, as his three eldest children have all established their own families.

Mr Trump Jr and his ex-wife Vanessa have five, including two daughters and three sons.

Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner have one daughter and two sons together.

Eric Trump, and his wife Lara, have one son and one daughter, Mr Trump’s youngest grandchildren born in 2017 and 2019 respectively.
