Ed Sheeran to sell his lockdown art to raise cash for charity

The 29 year old used house paints to create “Dab 2 2020”, after his dad John, whom he calls Dab. The multimillionaire musician has donated the painting to his parents’ Made In Suffolk Legacy charity auction to raise money for youngsters in need in his home county. It is the first time one of the singer’s colourful abstract paintings has come up for grabs.

Established by John and the singer’s mother Imogen for the GeeWizz and Zest charities, the auction features an array of other items from his career as well as objects from celebrities including David Beckham, Kylie Minogue, film director Peter Jackson and sprinter Usain Bolt.

Fans can also bid for handwritten lyrics to Ed’s song Perfect, his childhood Lego and a £3 ticket to his first ever gig at Framlingham Royal British Legion club.
