Michelle Hardwick: Emmerdale star talks death of close friend Bobby Ball 'Miss our laughs'

Michelle Hardwick, 44, shared an emotional post dedicated to comedian and close friend Bobby Ball after he died following coronavirus complications. The Emmerdale star shared a sweet snap of her and the Cannon and Ball favourite dancing at her wedding party last year, as she admitted to feeling “lucky” to have known him.

Bobby was famous for being one half of the comedy duo with Tommy Cannon.

He had also appeared on reality show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! back in 2005.

Michelle shared: “This picture from our wedding party last year sums up our friendship beautifully.

“I’m going to miss our laughs you funny man and I feel lucky to have had you in my life. Rest in peace Bobby.”

Underneath fans also shared their condolences, as they praised his ability to make people laugh.

One said: “So sad, seen him so many times: Skeggy, Blackpool, Bradford pantomime a true star ( I always joke laugh me laugh would be my funeral song ).”(sic)

Another replied: “It’s always sad when a friend passes, however when it’s someone who made people laugh as much as Bobby did it stings just that bit more. Thinking of all of you.”

A third commented: “Bless his heart. RIP Beautiful man X.”

“She said that the family and Tommy would like to express their sincere thanks to the many, many people who have been fans of Bobby and they know that they will all share in part the great loss and total sadness that Yvonne, the family and Tommy all feel,” he added.

Michelle and Bobby first met after appearing in panto classic Aladdin back in 2010 and had been friends ever since.

Last year the Emmerdale actress tied the knot with producer Kate Brooks at Elvis’ home of Graceland in the USA.

Michelle recently uploaded a throwback snap from the big day alongside a picture of her growing baby bump, writing at the time: “What a difference a year makes!”
