FRANKFURT, Oct 29 (Reuters) – The European Central Bank left policy unchanged on Thursday, resisting pressure to unveil more stimulus amid a new wave of the pandemic, but provided the clearest hint yet of fresh easing at its next meeting in December.

CAUTIOUS CONSUMERS
“Consumers are cautious in the light of the pandemic and its ramifications for employment and earnings.”
SLOWING SERVICES
“While activity in the manufacturing sector has continued to recover, activity in the services sector has been slowing visibly.”
