She explained: “Writing about food when you’re married to someone who can’t eat – that was odd. But I suppose it was about clutching on to life, really.”
Recently she recorded an audiobook version of How To Eat marking its 20th anniversary.
Two years after John had passed, Nigella went on to marry art gallerist Charles Saatchi, however, the pair divorced in 2013.
