Lucy Alexander details heartbreak after losing mum Kay to cancer: 'Still so hard'

Homes Under The Hammer star Lucy Alexander, 50, who previously hosted the property show with Martin Roberts, 57, lost her mum, Kay, to cancer in February. While the BBC sensation told her Twitter followers it is “still so hard” going through the devastating time, she found something to hold onto while wearing her mother’s coat today.

In view of her 36,000 Twitter followers, she divulged: “Still so hard losing a parent.

“I missed my mum so much today I took one of her coats home to wear.”

Lucy went on to tell her fans all she wanted was to find something of her mum’s she could hold onto.

“I was longing to find something in one of the pockets that would make me feel closer to her,” she added.

“My mum sadly passed away last night. She battled cancer to the end,” she said.

“I’ve lost my mate – she was my everything. RIP Mum. I’m waiting for your signs.”

Since the death of her mum, Lucy’s pal Martin has opened up about how he plans to lift the BBC presenter’s spirits sometime soon.

Martin recently told Express.co.uk he hasn’t spoken to Lucy for a while, revealing: “I was [really sad to hear about that].
