The UK Met Office website forecasts “heavy and persistent rain” for periods on Tuesday and Wednesday, while Thursday is expected to be “mainly dry”.
And even if events out of your control mean Thursday is unavailable, do not despair, as the Orionids will continue to be visible until November 7.
But, should you be lucky enough to experience a window of favourable weather, the best time to watch the Orionid peak in the UK is midnight BST.
