Italy added to quarantine list in major blow for autumn holidays but Crete now removed

“From 4am Sunday 18 Oct, if you arrive from Crete, you will NO LONGER need to self-isolate.

“ALSO THIS WEEK, the whole of the UK is now aligned with our advice around all of the Greek islands.”

Fellow Greek islands Lesvos, Santorini, Serifos and Zakynthos were added to the exempt list on Saturday 10.

The only island still on the quarantine list is now Mykonos.

Holidaymakers heading to Greece must be aware of the entry restrictions in place.

“If you travel to Greece, you will need to complete a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) at least 24 hours before travel,” explains the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO)

“Failure to do so in advance may result in your carrier not allowing you to travel, a 500 Euro fine on arrival or the Greek authorities not allowing you to enter the country.
