Morrisons launch Christmas delivery meal box – with turkey, pigs in blankets and more

Morrisons has today launched their Christmas food box to feed a family of four. This will help with those who may be self-isolating or families who do not want to risk the queues during the busy festive period. The food box will be delivered right to customers doors and is available for presale today with a delivery date closer to the big day.

This box is still in stock but customers will need to get their hands on it quickly to avoid disappointment.

The website says: “Discover our complete Christmas dinner in a box with all you need to create a festive feast for four. It’s full to the brim with succulent British turkey, sensational sides, an indulgent Belgian chocolate yule log, deep filled mince pies and a selection of cheese, rye sourdough crackers and festive fruit chutney.

“It’s a wonderful way to take the hassle out of your Christmas dinner planning.”

The box also contains other festive favourites like a cheese board with crackers, mince pies and even gravy.

Morrisons says that the food will arrive in a specially developed box so that the items remain cold and fresh until they reach the fridge.

“In a difficult year, this is the simplest way to get your Christmas meal.”

The popular supermarket has also recently extended their next day delivery service to ensure their customers can get the groceries they need as soon as possible.

With supermarkets still having little to no delivery slots available, Morrisons ensures that the shop is delivered the following day.

When placing an order over the phone, customers can choose from a menu which has a list of essential grocery items like milk, butter, eggs, potatoes, pasta, bananas and flour.

Customers can also request additional items that are essential to their household.

As well as extending their next day delivery service to those in need, the store also launched an essentials food box containing everything from pasta to tuna to cornflakes.

Costing just £20 including delivery, the essentials box includes everything you need to help customers who are in need of extra food or for those who are self-isolating.
