But the bounty hunter finds that helping the baby, which looks like a relative of Yoda, is an overwhelming task. ‘You expect me to search the galaxy and deliver this creature to a race of enemy sorcerers?’ he asks a woman in command who is only heard but not seen. He is told ‘this is the way.’

The clip opens with the Razor Crest gunship belonging to Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin, played by Pedro Pascal, gliding over a planet and heading toward another one off in the distance. Eerie music fills the trailer which builds anticipation.

Then a woman’s voice is heard talking to the bounty hunter Din. She asks to see the little one.

‘Show me the one whose safety deemed such destruction. You must reunite it with its own kind,’ she dictates.

‘Where?’ asks the Mandalorian with a raspy voice.

‘This is what you must determine,’ she answers as a Tusken Raider is seen on a desert planet on that resembles Tatooine. Tatooine orbits twin suns in the galaxy’s Outer Rim; it is a lawless place ruled by Hutt gangsters.

The Yoda-like companion The Child is seen in most of the trailer looking as innocent and in need of protection as ever. At one point he adorably closes the lid of his floating carriage when a man scares him.

All the while the bounty hunter is trying to stay away from the cruel Moff Gideon (played by Giancarlo Esposito).

Next, Mandalorian and The Child are on an ice planet that could be Hoth. The little creature is in his beige jacket as he sits on the snow.

Searching far and wide: 'You expect me to search the galaxy and deliver this creature to a race of enemy sorcerers?' he asks. A woman is seen then she disappears adding to the mystery

‘The songs of eons past tell of battles between Mandalore the Great and an order of sorcerers called Jedi,’ the Armorer tells the Mandalorian.

‘You expect me to search the galaxy and return this creature to a race of enemy sorcerers?’ he replies.

‘This is the way,’ she says.
