Tess Daly gives sneak peek at new look Strictly studio complete with judges' podiums

Strictly host Tess Daly took to social media yesterday during the first day in the Elstree studio, where they film the BBC ballroom dancing competition. The 51-year-old television presenter posted a video on her Instagram story, in view of her 519,000 followers, which unveiled the new look studio for the first time.

In her video footage, she panned the camera around the studio, where the famous dance floor and stage could be seen as well as a new addition to the set.

To the left of the dance floor, where the judges’ desk normally sits, three individual podiums were visible.

The producers have been forced to make changes to this year’s show because of the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent social distancing restrictions.

Only three chairs will be needed for judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas as Bruno Tonioli will not set foot in the studio as he films the US version – Dancing With The Stars in America and is not able to fly back and forth safely.
