The major European leagues are taking a break from domestic action as players head off for international duty for a round of friendlies this week.
The pick of the bunch from Wednesday’s games comes between last year’s Nations League winners Portugal and Spain, who haven’t lost in any competition since 2018 and have enjoyed a good start to their Nations League campaign – drawing 1-1 with Germany and later thrashing Ukraine 4-0.
There’s also plenty of other international sides in action, with Germany playing Turkey at home, Italy hosting Moldova and France at home to Ukraine.
