Goat Milk Caramel to Swirl Over Ice Cream or Into Coffee

Amanda Adare went from a job at the World Health Organization to running a nonprofit called Dairy in Developing Countries, to help small farmers in places like Kenya and Nicaragua. In 2011, she and her husband, Andrew Adare, bought their own farm, Table Mountain, near Boulder, Colo. A couple of years ago,Ms. Adare began making goat milk caramel sauces to give to friends, then started selling them in farmers’ markets, and now has made them available nationwide online. The sauces are rich without being cloying, and have a thick but drizzle-able consistency. There are four flavors: vanilla, vanilla-cinnamon, salted dark chocolate, and the newest, whiskey.
