If all the rumours are true then we might get our first glimpse of the new iPhone 12 as early as next week. October 13 is the date some tech tipsters are recommending Apple fans put in their diaries with numerous reports suggesting that this is when all be revealed.
The US technology firm remains tight-lipped about an official launch, but that could change later this week.
If Apple is going to reveal its new iPhone on October 13 it’s almost certain that they will begin letting media oulets know in the coming days and that means we could find out full details very soon.
With the current health crisis still wreaking havoc across the globe, the iPhone 12 launch looks certain to be another online-only event. This means Apple can push out invites to the launch showcase much closer to the actual reveal.
As well as possibly finding out an official release date, Apple fans have also been treated to some more good news about how much the new iPhones will cost.

A post on Twitter from Apple RUMORs claims to have full pricing for the new range of iPhones and it seems things aren’t going up in 2020.
In fact, with Apple thought to be announcing a new iPhone Mini this year it appears you’ll actually be able to get a new iPhone in your pocket at a lower cost than 2019.
The tweet – which has not been verified so take it with a slight pinch of salt – states that prices for the iPhone Mini will start from $649.
The iPhone 12 will cost $749, iPhone 12 Pro $999 and the iPhone 12 Pro Max $1,099.
These US prices match the current iPhone 11 range which means the standard iPhone 12 could arrive in UK stores for around £729 with the iPhone 12 Pro costing £999.
Of course, we’ll have to wait and see if these claims are correct but hopefully, Apple is steering clear of any significant price increases.
So what will be the big changes in 2020?
Perhaps the biggest update to this year’s iPhone range will be the inclusion of 5G data speeds which will allow users to download files at over 300Mbps – that’s six times faster than your home broadband.
Other features could include a faster processor, improved camera and all of Apple’s 2020 line-up are thought to be getting OLED screen’s rather than the LCD Liquid Retina HD display screen which is currently packed into the iPhone 11.
As we mentioned earlier, it’s also thought we’ll see four smartphones unveiled by Apple including a 5.4-inch iPhone Mini, 6.1-inch iPhone 12, 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone Pro Max.
All of these devices could be the first to ship without a charger or headphones in the box with the US firm thought to be removing these accessories in a bid to reduce electronic waste.
