Countryfile fans blast Adam Henson’s 'inappropriate' cow mating segment 'It’s teatime!’

“They used to be nicknamed ‘Bakewell Blues’, as many of them come in a distinctive grey-blue colour.

“But a foot and mouth outbreak int eh 1920s put them on the endangered list,” Adam explained.

As for why Adam was interested in breeding Albion’s and increasing the number of them in the UK, he revealed how his father had one back in the 70s, trying to promote the breed and get people to realise they were very rare and vulnerable.

“Nobody would listen to Dad, they wouldn’t hear his story,” the presenter remarked.

“Here we are now, all these years later, and finally the Albion cattle have been brought onto the Rare Breeds Survival List.
