Donald Trump, Boris Johnson, Meghan Markle and PiersMorgan – just a tiny handful of some of the new caricatures featuring in the 2020 revival of spitting Image on Britbox. The show was axed back in 1994 but is returning today with a host of new faces – swapping Margaret Thatcher for the likes of Dominic Cummings, along with musicians, royals, film stars and tech giants Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg.

The new revival will air exclusively on Britbox – a fairly new streaming platform run by BBC and ITV as an alternative to Netflix or Amazon Prime.

Spitting image will be released on October 3, with a new episode fairly every week for 10 weeks.

Series two is also already in the works, meaning theres plenty of satire to catch up on.

Where can I watch Spitting Image?

Spitting Image is only airing on Britbox, meaning you cannot watch the show using your normal TV channels.

Britbox is the BBC and ITV’s joint project to create an online streaming service as their own answer to Netflix.

You can watch all the best shows from dramas like Downton Abbey to reality TV, including the most recent series of Love Island.

There is also some content from Channel 4 and C5 to enjoy on Britbox.

How much does Britbox cost?

You’ll need to sign up for a Britbox subscription online to watch Spitting Image.

This costs £5.99 per month or £59.99 for a year’s pass.

Or if you just want to check out the content, you can also sign up to a 7-day free trial.

Simply cancel after the seven days are up or you may be charged.

If you don’t, or you can’t find the app on your TV, you can head to the browser and key in: Britbox.co.uk.

Then scroll through using your remote control and select a program to watch.

Make sure you’ve already signed up for a subscription, however.

You can also use a Google Chromecast to stream from your mobile or tablet and ‘cast’ the show onto your TV.
